Anyway today we’re going to talk about celebrities and cars. We’re going to dedicate our post to review the cars that celebrities prefer. As you can imagine, celebrities don’t drive a Dacia Logan or a Renault Clio. These are cars for the average people. As showing off is part of their way of living, celebrities prefer high-performance and luxury cars. Besides, in most of the cases one car is not enough for them and some of them own up to six or seven. I suppose they also own a tanker truck to refuel them.
We’ll start talking about Julia Roberts. Julia is quite humble and she drives a $22,305 worth Toyota Prius. The actress is one of the celebrities that usually drive hybrid cars such as the Toyota Prius. Its main advantage is not the fuel saving but the fact that it’s environmentally friendly due to small CO2 emissions. For Julia and other celebs, hybrid cars are a kind of commitment with nature. Kudos for Julia’s choice.
Next in our list is American actor Leonardo di Caprio. Bar Refaeli’s fiance Leo di Caprio is perhaps the most environmentally-aware celebrity. Di Carpio is one of the most fervent advocates for environmental protection and, as well as Julia Roberts, he also drives a Toyota Prius hybrid car.
Russian former tennis player Anna Kournikova doesn’t seem that concerned about the environment and drives a Cadillac Escalade EXT pickup. Anna’s car is worth about $55,000.
American supermodel and actress Tyra Banks, creator of America’s Next Top Model TV show has tuned her convertible Lexus SC for the show. The car costs “only” $66,000.
Let’s talk about powerful cars. American actor Tom Cruise, one of the current movie idols has been spotted driving one of the most legendary cars in history, the Porsche 911. The first Porsche 911 dates forty years back in time but has been constantly improved with new and more powerful versions. Its base price is about $72,000 but I’m sure that Tom’s is fitted with electric windows and bi-xenon headlights.
One of my favorite actresses, gorgeous Southafrican blonde Charlize Theron prefers an off-road car. Charlize drives an off-road Land Rover Range Rover. Having dominated several African rallies, the Range Rover is well known for its ability to navigate all kind of terrains from deserts to complicated mountain passes. Do you like it? If you want it, get ready to loose $80,000.
Let’s talk about American singer Madonna. As a real pop star, Madona is often seen driving a car that marks is owner as a highly successful celebrity, the Maybach 57. This one is much more than a simple limo. Of course, the car not only has all kind of amenities you can imagine but is also fitted with a 543hp engine with twin turbochargers. It means its owner can fly over the road if he or she wants to. Its base price is $400,000. Good, nice and cheap…..
Our next guest is controversial American actress Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay spends more time in rehab than she does in film sets. She’s gonna be our first “Mercedes girl”. She drives a convertible SL65 AMG Mercedes Benz equipped with a V-12 604hp engine and twin turbochargers. Its price is about $200,000.
American actress Cameron Diaz can also be considered as a “Mercedes girl” although she prefers the Mercedes SL.
Have we already met this girl? I think so. Paris Hilton is perhaps the most famous celebrity that has been spotted driving a new generation Bentley, the Continental GT. Paris and other celebs have turned Bentley Continental into an iconic car for celebrities and wealthy people. Its price is about $190,000.
Mr Bean also likes cars. British actor Rowan Atkinson usually drives his Audi A8 but when he needs more pickup speed he choses the McLaren F1 he bought to celebrate the success of “Bean-The Movie”. This McLaren is one of the most exclusive cars in the world and although it’s twelve years old is one of the fastest since it can reach 360kph. What’s the damage? €900,000. It’s a real bargain. Maybe Rowan Atkinson has a funny face but he’s nobody’s fool!!.
Elite sportsmen and women have always loved luxury cars. Shaquille O’Neal, one of the best NBA players ever, drives a car intended for royalty, the Rolls-Royce Phantom. The Phantom is fitted with a carpet where you can almost bury your feet and leather-lined seats where he can sink completely. Its base price is about $375,000.
Let’s start talking about football players. Soccer stars are the epitome of a luxurious and lavish way of life. Today’s guests are British. The first one is David Beckham. David has a motor racing team at his disposal. He owns several cars from the best makes such as Audi, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, and Porsche. He also owns a Lincoln Navigator inside which he has been spotted in the streets of Los Angeles. As I said before no Dacia Logan or Renault Clio.
