CANDICE SWANEPOEL YOUNGEST VICTORIA'S SECRET ANGEL

Dear readers of sportandbeauty. We are very pleased to dedicate today's post to a South African stunner. She's a model, a beautiful one. She's not very well known yet but in my humble opinionshe will achieve greater fame in the near future. She's already walked down the catwalk for Victoria's Secret in 2007 & 2008 Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows. Let me introduce you Candice Swanepoel a real angel-faced stunner.

Candice Swanepoel was born on October 20th 1988 in Mooi River, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She's a fellow countrywoman of one of my favorite actresses, Charlize Theron. As it often happens, Candice was discovered by talent scout Kevin Ellis in a flea market in Durban when she was only 15 years old. The next year our friend Candice already earned more than 5000$ per day. No wonder because Candice Swanepoel's physical appearance and measurements are really outstanding.

Nowadays Candice is a very busy model. In the last years she has participated in ad campaigns for Diesel, Fornarina, Guess, Kensie, Spezzato, Stimorol, Topshop and Versus eyewear. In 2007 tireless Candice Swanepoel kept on working around the clock and she hit the catwalk for Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Amuleti J, Diane von Furstenberg, Evisu, Krizia, Luisa Beccaria, Manuel, Marc Bouwer, Nanette Lepore, Pamella Roland, Pin-Up Stara and Trussardi Spring-Summer collections and Rock & Republic Fall-Winter. At the end of 2007 Candice got her big breakthrough when she was selected to participate alongside Adriana Lima, Ana Beatriz Barros and Izabel Goulart, amongst others, in the 2007 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show held in the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. Candice and Sabrina Jales were about to be selected as permanent Victoria's Secret angels but in the end Marisa Miller and Doutzen Kroes got the job. Candice seems to have been born just to model lingerie outfits.....

In 2008 Candice Swanepoel has walked the catwalk for the best fashion designers such as Abaete, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Amuleti J, Baby Phat, Betsey Johnson, Development by Erica Davies, Enrico Coveri, Frankie Morello, Lorenzo Riva, Marc Bouwer, Miss Bikini, Pamella Roland, Pin-Up Stars, Thread Social and Trussardi Spring-Summer collections and Baby Phat, Betsey Johnson, Douglas Hannant, Lela Rose, Nanette Lepore, Pamella Roland, Rock & Republic, Tory Burch and Zang Toi Fall-Winter. LERYN FRANCO GORGEOUS PARAGUAYAN JAVELIN THROWER

Dear readers of fashiontotal. Today we’re going to honor the blog’s name and combine sport and beauty. Today’s post is dedicated to a female athlete who’s better know for her beauty than for her athletic skills. She’s been considered as the sexiest female athlete in the recently held Beijing Olympics beating some of the most acclaimed female athletes in the world such as Amanda Beard, Blanca Vlasic or Carolina Kluft. As some of you may have guessed today’s post is dedicated to the sexy Paraguayan javelin thower Leryn Franco, a real stunner. Don’t you agree with me? I love the piercing she wears in her navel.

Leryn Franco is a statuesque Paraguayan athlete who besides being really gorgeous is also a kind of javelin thrower. Leryn was born in Asuncion, the capital city of Paraguay, on March 1 1982. She’s 175 centimeters high and her measures are those of a top model 94-60-90. Leryn participated in the last Olympic Games held in Beijing (her second Olympic Games because se had already competed in Athens 2004). I love her sports outfit and she looks really nice dressed as a javelin thrower. Nice sunglasses and nice bum. No wonder that she also trudges the catwalk besides throwing the javelin. In Athens 2004 she was ranked 42nd in the overall standings and in Beijing she didn’t do much better and finished in 51st position throwing the javelin 10 meters short of her personal best (55.38 metres). It seems that the only thing she did in Beijing was to get acquainted with Serbian tennis player and bronze medalist Novak Djokovic. As I said before Leryn is not only an athlete but also a professional model. She’s more of a model than a javelin thrower. Leryn Franco participated in Miss Paraguay contest in 2006. She almost won the contest getting the second place. Had I been a member of the jury she would’ve won for sure. After that, Leryn represented Paraguay in the Miss Bikini contest held in Behai’s beches in Southeast China where she again got the second place and was named First Princess after Ucranian representative Olena C. Why Princess? She’s a real Queen. Leryn says that working as a model allows her to keep on doing her favorite sport since the timetable is quite flexible and she can earn quite a lot of money as a photograph and catwalk model. Pay attention to the picture below. She had better be careful when walking down the catwalk unless she wants to show off her really nice boobs what I don’t mind at all. Besides modeling Leryn has joined the group of girls who have launched calendars in recent years and she posed for her own calendar in 2007. CZECH BEAUTIES: HANA SOUKUPOVA VICTORIA'S SECRET'S ANGEL

Dear readers of Sport and beauty. We are going to dedicate today’s post to a gorgeous model. She comes from Eastern Europe, from the Czech Republic. Perhaps she’s not as famous as Karolina Kurkova or Petra Nemcova but a promising future lies ahead of her. Moreover, she has managed to get accepted in the exclusive circle of Victoria’s Secret’s angels, a major breakthrough worth to be taken into account. Today’s post is going to be dedicated to the gorgeous Czech model Hana Soukupova, a real stunner.

Hana Soukupova was born on the 18th of December 1985 in Karlovy Vary a thermal resort located in the Czech Republic (former Czechoslovakia). Hana’s height (181 centimeters) and her long legs made her stand out amongst the rest of her mates very soon and, before hitting the catwalk, Hana had already played basketball in her town’s basketball team. With only 13 years of age Hana started working as a model in Prague, Czech Republic’s capital city. Perhaps the world has lost an outstanding basketball player but for sure we have won a first class top model. ELSA PATAKY GORGEOUS SPANISH ACTRESS

Today’s post is going to be dedicated to a sexy and gorgeous Spanish actress. Perhaps so far she’s better known for being Adrien Brody’s fiancé than for her career but she’s a safe bet for the future and is working hard trying to pursue a career in Hollywood. Undoubtedly she’s got everything she needs to become a star. She’s almost flawless: a pretty face and a statuesque body despite she’s only 161 centimetres high. Do you already know who she is? She’s Elsa Pataky.

Elsa Lafuente Medianu, known as Elsa Pataky, was born in Madrid on July 18th 1976 to Cristina and José Francisco. Her mother has Romanian and Hungarian ancestors and Elsa took Pataky as her last name in honor of her grandfather who instilled her her love for acting. Elsa Pataky is not the typical blond bombshell. On the contrary she’s very well prepared because she studied at a drama school in Madrid and journalism at the University although she dropped out when she was cast for the TV series “Al salir de clase” which paved the wave for her film career. In addition to that, Elsa speaks four languages: Spanish, French, English and Romanian. The pictures were pirated by a “paparazzi” and the most daring were published by the Spanish magazine “Interviu”. Her love life has also been quite busy. Elsa was involved in a long relation with Spanish race motorcyclist Fonsi Nieto better known for picking gorgeous girls than for winning races. After putting an end to this love story with Fonsi she started a new relation in 2004 with French comedian Michael Youn who in fact criticized her a lot in many TV programs. Elsa and Michael broke up in 2005 and currently she’s dating long-nosed American actor Adrien Brody (“The pianist”) who she’s reportedly going to marry in the next future. MARIA SHARAPOVA WORLD'S PRETTIEST TENNIS PLAYER

Hey friends. It’s widely know the close relationship between female tennis and the world of fashion. Everything started with Anna Kournikova. She was the forerunner of the new breed of young beautiful tennis players -most of them coming from Eastern Europe- that, when out of the court, love fashion and modeling. Anna Kournikova never won a WTA Tournament but became a sex symbol and a fashion icon. Since then many female players have followed her steps. Perhaps her most advanced pupil is her fellow countrywoman the gourgeous and sexy Russian babe Maria Sharapova. Maria Sharapova is not only one of the sexiest and most beautiful athletes in the world but also plays tennis beautifully.

Maria Yuryevna Sharapova was born in 1987 to Yuri and Yelena in the town of Nyagan in Siberia, Russia. Previously her parents had lived in Gomel, Belarus, but were compelled to move after the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986. At the age of two her family moved to Sochi. There, Sharapova‘s father befriended Yevgeny’s Kafelnikov father, Aleksandre, who gave Sharapova her first tennis racket at the age of four. At the age of six, Sharapova attended a tennis clinic run by Martina Navratilova during the Kremlim Cup in Moscow. Martina noted Sharapova was talented but required professional training, recommending the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida. Sharapova and her father, neither of whom could speak English, moved to Florida in 1994 with only 700$ in their pockets. Several days after their arrival father and daughter showed up at the IMG's Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Florida and in December 1995 Maria received a scholarship to the Academy and became a full-time student. Sharapova turned professional in 2001, although she played a total of just two WTA tournaments in 2001 and 2002 plus six challenger events. She became the youngest girl to reach the final at the junior Australian Open in 2002, and repeated this feat at Wimbledon later in the same year.

Shortly after Wimbledon 2008 a magnetic resonance imaging scan revealed Maria Sharapova had been suffering from a torn rotator cuff since April, and consequently, she announced she was to take a break of two to three months, ruling her out of both the Beijing Olympics and the US Open. AMANDA BEARD PRETTIEST FEMALE SWIMMER OF ALL TIMES

Dear readers of Sport & Beauty. Sport and fashion are closely related. Female sport stars sometimes try to pursue a career in modeling or occassionally work as models. Perhaps the most famous example are Russian players Anna Kournikova and Maria Sharapova. But there are also sexy and gourgeous sportwomen in other sports. Today we are going to dedicate this post to the world’s sexiest female swimmer of all time: Amanda Beard. Amanda Ray Beard was born on October 29, 1981, in Irvine, California, United States of America. Both her sisters, Leah and Taryn, swam at local clubs and to impress them, Amanda Beard began jumping in the pool as early as four years of age. Eventually Amanda joined a swimming club and she soon started to stand out amongst her mates.In 1995, she earned a U.S. National Title in the 100-meter breaststroke, was named a National A team member, and took second place in the Pan Pacific Championships for the 400-meter medley relay. Amanda Beard was selected for the U.S. National Team that was gearing up for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. At the Games, Amanda Beard didn't disappoint. She took the silver medal in both the 100-meter and 200-meter breaststroke, and the gold for her contribution in the breaststroke leg of the 400-meter medley relay. In doing so, she became the second-youngest American gold medalist in swimming history (Pokey Watson still retains the top title from her 1964 win). Amanda Beard graduated from high school in 1999 and enrolled at the University of Arizona, where she flourished even more under a new swimming coach. She took the silver at the 1999 World University Games in the 100-meter breaststroke, and the following year won the silver in the 200-meter at the NCAA Championships. She would take the event's top medal in 2001.

Amanda's performance at the 2000 Sydney Games was largely ignored by the media. She took the bronze in the 200-meter breaststroke (her fourth Olympic medal) but this latest accomplishment didn't grab any headlines. Nonetheless, the sporting world continued to view Amanda Beard as a hero. When she took a year off school in 2001 to travel the world to swim professionally, clubs throughout the world invited her to lead clinics and give motivational speeches. She wasn't just a pretty swimmer. She was a smart, inspiring pretty swimmer. In 2002, she broke the American record in the 200-meter breaststroke at the Swimming World Cup, and bagged two gold medals in the Pan Pacific Championships. In 2003, she scored the highest honor of her still-burgeoning career. At the World Championships in Barcelona, she broke the world record in the 200-meter, becoming the No. 1 breaststroke swimmer throughout the world and history. At the 2004 Athens Games Amanda took the gold in the 200-meter breaststroke and the 400-meter relay. Away from the swimming pool Amanda Beard has also done some modeling. She has graced different issues of FHM and Playboy and has also modeled for the 2006 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. I personally prefer her photo shooting for FHM (you can see the pictures in the slide at the end of the post). Like Pamela Anderson, Joanna Krupa and Fernanda Tavares amongst many others, Amanda is also an enthusiastic environmentalist and she usually cooperates with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) in campaigns against the use of fur for clothing. Under the slogan “I’d rather be naked than wear fur” she tried to pose naked for PETA last week in Beijing but she had to give up since Chinese authorities banned the protest for public security reasons. Maybe Chinese authorities feared thousands of excited Amanda’s fans jumping at her. To finish with the post I’ll leave a video where you can see this pretty American swimmer being interviewed.
