Dear readers of sport&beauty. Today we’re getting on a plane to fly to one of our favorite destinations, Russia, where we will meet one of the best Russian models of the moment. Before unveiling her name, I’ll give you some hints so you can make an educated guess. She’s Ralph Lauren’s muse and has starred in ad campaigns for Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein jeans, ICB, L'Oreal, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and Victoria's Secret. Besides, she has graced the covers of the world’s best fashion magazines such as Elle, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, and W. I’m sure you already know who she is. Today’s post is dedicated to the gorgeous Russian model Valentina Zelyaeva. Here you are Valentina Zelyaeva. To tell the truth, I like her very much.

Valentina Zelyaeva started in the fashion world aged seventeen when a friend and her friend’s mother took her to a model agency. When she was eighteen, she traveled to Japan although she made her debut in New York in September 2003 walking for Cynthia Steffe’s Spring fashion collection. In 2004 Valentina Zelyaeva starred for Cole Haan’s ad campaign and Neiman Marcus catalogue and graced the cover of Harpers&Queen (February) and Glamour Italy (May). Valentina started 2005 signing a contract with Ralph Lauren. At the beginning of the year, the Russian model appeared in an ad campaign for Calvin Klein Jeans, opened Ralph Lauren’s Fall fashion show in New York in February and appeared in an editorial for Vogue Italy photographed by Patrick Demarcheiller. In March, Valentina Zelyaeva appeared in an editorial for Vogue UK and in April Vanity Fair included her in an article titled “Slavs of Fashion, the new beauties” together with other Eastern European models. In June and July 2005 Valentina appeared in two editorials for Harper’s Bazaar and in August she graced the cover of Elle Germany. In September the Russian stunner opened Ralph Lauren’s 2006 Spring fashion show in New York and in October she walked in Paris for Balenciaga, Chanel, Christian Dior, and Hermès. Let’s talk about 2006. In 2006 Valentina extended her contract with Ralph Lauren and in February opened again Ralph Lauren’s Fall fashion show in New York. Finally in September she traveled again to New York to open Ralph Lauren’s 2007 Fall fashion show. Already in 2007, she appeared again in the cover of Vogue Russia (January) and in February she walked for Valentino being interviewed in the backstage for Fashion TV. In February, Valentina opened for the fifth successive time Ralph Lauren’s Spring fashion show in New York. The Russian model appeared in the cover of the issue of June of Vogue Spain and, again in New York, opened the fashion show commemorative of Ralph Lauren’s 40th anniversary. Finally, Valentina appeared in an editorial of W magazine in October and in the covers of Elle France in November and Vogue Russia in December. As usual, our friend Valentina started 2008 opening in New York the Ralph Lauren’s Fall fashion show. In April, Valentina appeared in an editorial of Vogue Spain photographed by Helena Christensen and, also in April, she was included on the Forbes list of the world’s highest paid models with the number thirteen with an approximate income of $2.3 million in 2007. In June 2008 Valentina made it back to the cover of Vogue Spain and in September Vogue Russia considered her to be a new top model. Finally and also in September, she opened in New York the Ralph Lauren’s Spring fashion show for the next season. In February 2009, Valentina Zelyaeva walked for Ralph Lauren and Givenchy’s Fall fashion shows in New York and Paris. In September of the same year, the Russian model appeared in Elle and walked again in New York for Ralph Lauren’s Spring fashion show. Finally in 2010, Valentina Zelyaeva extended her contract with Ralph Lauren once again and in February, as usual, she opened the Ralph Lauren’s Fall fashion show. In March 2010 the Russian model appeared in an editorial for Vogue Spain and in June was photographed by Regan Cameron for Allure magazine.

BEST FEMALE FANCY DRESS COSTUMES

Dear readers of sport&beauty. Today we’re going to talk about uniforms, female fancy dress costumes and male fantasies. On the one hand, it’s been always said that some women like men in uniform and it seems that firefighters take the lead on this issue. On the other hand men also like some female fancy dress outfits. Today we’re going to review those fancy dress costumes men are crazy about. I think that the nurse fancy dress costume is one of the most demanded ones. How many go-go dancers disguise themselves as nurses? The truth is that the syringe, the nurse’s cap, the white stockings, and the little dress with a nice cleavage suit them perfectly. Men are weak beings seeking for care and affection and they love to be looked after by a beautiful nurse in a white uniform. If you want to succeed with men, my advice is to get a nurse dress costume like the one you can see in the following picture. I wouldn’t mind to be admitted to a hospital to be treated by her for a long period of time.

Men do not only like the nurse dress costume. They also love the schoolgirl dress costume with its tight white shirt, its short red and green checkered skirt and its long socks. It’s one of the fancy dress costumes that go-go dancers always have in their wardrobe. Perhaps what men like most is to be deceived by schoolgirl’s fake innocent appearance. Ideal fancy dress costume to go to Maths class or perhaps to pass the usually tough French exam.

Let’s move on. Our following proposal is the French maid fancy dress costume. You’ll agree with me that it’s fantastic. Haven’t you ever imagined your maid cleaning the dust dressed in her black uniform composed of a miniskirt, black stockings and the apron while your wife is at the hairdresser’s? I won’t take a no for an answer. Ok, it will also depend on how gorgeous your maid is. These two are really beautiful.

We do have some room here for the Armed Forces and the Police. Servicewomen and police officer fancy dress costumes are also in high demand. Beware of the girls in the first picture because they seem more dangerous than a monkey with a gun. The second picture portrays a nice sheriff fancy dress costume. I love the miniskirt and the mesh pantyhose. I wouldn’t mind to be arrested and frisked by her. The last picture shows a nice servicewoman fancy dress costume composed of knee-high boots, a mini dress cinched with a belt and a garrison cap especially suitable for desert warfare.

Let’s go on. Should airlines have female pilots and flight attendants like these ones, flight security would be greatly increased. I’m sure that passengers would pay more attention to safety demonstrations than they actually do and would finally learn where life jackets and oxygen masks are located and what the overhead compartment is. With such a beautiful aircrew looking after me I wouldn’t mind to be enclosed in the plane for hours due to usual air traffic congestion problems.

It’s turn for the waitress and shopgirl fancy dress costumes. When you go to a bar and ask for a drink there is nothing better than being asked by a miniskirted waitress with a wonderful smile and a friendly voice: what do you want to drink?. We won’t dare to tell her what we really want and will end up asking for a Coke. What about the girl in the poultry shop at the market? This uniform suits her more than perfectly.

To conclude today’s post I’ll leave one more fancy dress costume. I love this Pirate of the Caribbean costume. It’s ideal to work as Johnny Depp’s female counterpart in the new sequel of the famous movie. Best regards.

MOST BEAUTIFUL FEMALE POLITICIANS IN THE WORLD

Dear readers of sport&beauty. Today we’ll keep on talking about beauty but in a different way to that we’re used to. We usually write about models and celebrities but today we’ll write about gorgeous policitians. Today we are presenting the sexiest and most gorgeous female politicians in the world. Female politicians started to gain popularity in the 1980,s when the Hungarian-born Italian actress Ilona Staller, aka Cicciolina, was chosen as an MP for the Italian Radical Party opposed to nuclear energy and weapons. Illona Staller, a pacifist and anti-death penalty activist, advocated for “love for all”, more lenient regulations on certain types of substances and a tax on cars for polluting the environment. The truth is that Ilona Staller was neither a stunner nor a bombshell but quite provocative and scandalous in her behavior. We’ll start our review of the most gorgeous women in politics visiting Greece. Angela (PASOK) & Elena (ND) are two beauties in the Greek Parliament. The former deputy tourism minister Angela Gerekou, once a model for Playboy, (first picture) is drop-dead gorgeous and Elena (second and third pictures) maintains a lower profile and is more demure than Angela but is not bad, isn’t she?.

Mi favorite female politician is Eunice Olsen. Eunice is a TV presenter (she co-hosted “The Wheel of Fortune” and was Miss Singapore in 2000 competing in the Miss Universe pageant in Cyprus where she didn’t reach the semi finals. Eunice became the youngest Singapore’s MP ever in 2004. She remained an MP until July 2009 trying to raise awareness about youth issues and promote volunteerism. As you can see in the following pictures, Eunice is really beautiful and reminds me of actress Tia Carrere, Sydney Fox in Relic Hunters (first picture to the right).

Let’s go East to meet Estonian Anna-Maria Galojan and Ukranian Yuliya Tymoshenko. Yuliya is the oldest one but she’s remarkably well preserved for her age. She reminds me of French actress Catherine Deneuve. Yuliya was Ukraine’s President until March 2010. Anna Maria Galojan is an Estonian politician of Armenian origin and a tough girl who has even posed for Playboy. If you don’t believe me, notice the way she handles the gun. In the third picture you can see Alina Kabaeva a very flexible former Russian gymnast who has gone into politics.

Israel has a lot to say on this issue. There we find Pnina Rosenblum a drop-dead gorgeous middle-aged woman, Orly Levy, and Anastasia Michaeli. Pnina Rosenblum is a former actress and model and in 1989 she founded her own cosmetics brand, Pnina Rosenblum Ltd, before going into politics. Orly also worked as a model and TV presenter before becoming a politician.

To conclude with this review of the most beautiful female politicians we are traveling to Peru to meet Luciana Milagros Leon Romero. Luciana is a member of the Peruvian Aprista Party and MP for the district of Lima until 2011. She’s also the youngest member of the Peruvian Parliament.

CELEBRITIES AND THEIR LUXURY CARS

Dear readers of sport&beauty. Our blog is not a car blog although you’ll remember that we dedicated a post to motor racing goddess Danica Patrick. Anyway today we’re going to talk about celebrities and cars. We’re going to dedicate our post to review the cars that celebrities prefer. As you can imagine, celebrities don’t drive a Dacia Logan or a Renault Clio. These are cars for the average people. As showing off is part of their way of living, celebrities prefer high-performance and luxury cars. Besides, in most of the cases one car is not enough for them and some of them own up to six or seven. I suppose they also own a tanker truck to refuel them.

We’ll start talking about Julia Roberts. Julia is quite humble and she drives a $22,305 worth Toyota Prius. The actress is one of the celebrities that usually drive hybrid cars such as the Toyota Prius. Its main advantage is not the fuel saving but the fact that it’s environmentally friendly due to small CO2 emissions. For Julia and other celebs, hybrid cars are a kind of commitment with nature. Kudos for Julia’s choice.

Next in our list is American actor Leonardo di Caprio. Bar Refaeli’s fiance Leo di Caprio is perhaps the most environmentally-aware celebrity. Di Carpio is one of the most fervent advocates for environmental protection and, as well as Julia Roberts, he also drives a Toyota Prius hybrid car.

Russian former tennis player Anna Kournikova doesn’t seem that concerned about the environment and drives a Cadillac Escalade EXT pickup. Anna’s car is worth about $55,000.

American supermodel and actress Tyra Banks, creator of America’s Next Top Model TV show has tuned her convertible Lexus SC for the show. The car costs “only” $66,000.

Let’s talk about powerful cars. American actor Tom Cruise, one of the current movie idols has been spotted driving one of the most legendary cars in history, the Porsche 911. The first Porsche 911 dates forty years back in time but has been constantly improved with new and more powerful versions. Its base price is about $72,000 but I’m sure that Tom’s is fitted with electric windows and bi-xenon headlights.

One of my favorite actresses, gorgeous Southafrican blonde Charlize Theron prefers an off-road car. Charlize drives an off-road Land Rover Range Rover. Having dominated several African rallies, the Range Rover is well known for its ability to navigate all kind of terrains from deserts to complicated mountain passes. Do you like it? If you want it, get ready to loose $80,000.

Let’s talk about American singer Madonna. As a real pop star, Madona is often seen driving a car that marks is owner as a highly successful celebrity, the Maybach 57. This one is much more than a simple limo. Of course, the car not only has all kind of amenities you can imagine but is also fitted with a 543hp engine with twin turbochargers. It means its owner can fly over the road if he or she wants to. Its base price is $400,000. Good, nice and cheap…..

Our next guest is controversial American actress Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay spends more time in rehab than she does in film sets. She’s gonna be our first “Mercedes girl”. She drives a convertible SL65 AMG Mercedes Benz equipped with a V-12 604hp engine and twin turbochargers. Its price is about $200,000.

American actress Cameron Diaz can also be considered as a “Mercedes girl” although she prefers the Mercedes SL.

Have we already met this girl? I think so. Paris Hilton is perhaps the most famous celebrity that has been spotted driving a new generation Bentley, the Continental GT. Paris and other celebs have turned Bentley Continental into an iconic car for celebrities and wealthy people. Its price is about $190,000.

Mr Bean also likes cars. British actor Rowan Atkinson usually drives his Audi A8 but when he needs more pickup speed he choses the McLaren F1 he bought to celebrate the success of “Bean-The Movie”. This McLaren is one of the most exclusive cars in the world and although it’s twelve years old is one of the fastest since it can reach 360kph. What’s the damage? €900,000. It’s a real bargain. Maybe Rowan Atkinson has a funny face but he’s nobody’s fool!!.

Elite sportsmen and women have always loved luxury cars. Shaquille O’Neal, one of the best NBA players ever, drives a car intended for royalty, the Rolls-Royce Phantom. The Phantom is fitted with a carpet where you can almost bury your feet and leather-lined seats where he can sink completely. Its base price is about $375,000.

Let’s start talking about football players. Soccer stars are the epitome of a luxurious and lavish way of life. Today’s guests are British. The first one is David Beckham. David has a motor racing team at his disposal. He owns several cars from the best makes such as Audi, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, and Porsche. He also owns a Lincoln Navigator inside which he has been spotted in the streets of Los Angeles. As I said before no Dacia Logan or Renault Clio.
